1How many can you accommodate?
The Wentworth Event Center has spaces that can accommodate intimate events of 50 people or less and larger spaces that can accommodate up to 200 guests. A tent on our Grand Lawn can accommodate up to 300.
2What are your guest count minimums and maximums?
The Wentworth is glad to accommodate events large and small. We have no minimum or maximum, although we’d say that 150 is our sweet spot for indoor, seated dinner functions.
3How far in advance can we book our wedding?
Most couples make firm reservations between six months and one year in advance. We are happy to check availability for the date you have in mind.
4Who will work with us on our event?
Kristine Colson, whose father built the Wentworth, is the events manager, and works closely with all of our clients. Kristine or one of her trusted staff will be on site for the duration of your event. She can be reached directly at 207-323-2929.
5How much of a deposit is required?
Deposit is 25% of venue fee's to confirm your date. The remaining balance can be paid with payment plans to meet your needs.
6What are my catering options?
Catering options are open. We will suggest our favorites, or you can bring your own. We require that the catering company be fully licensed and insured.
7What is included in the fees?
The Wentworth offers flexible pricing: we have packages that begin at $75 per guest, and a la carte options that allow you to use our spaces and your own decor and catering. We would love to put together an estimate based on your particular vision.

9When will the room be available to set up the day of the wedding? How long do we have the space?
The Center will be yours from 12pm—10pm on your special day.
10Where can we hold our ceremony?
Ceremonies can be held in any of our indoor spaces, on our stone patio overlooking the ocean, in a tent on our lawn, down on our rocky beach or anywhere on our grounds that you choose. We can’t wait to give you a tour and show you the possibilities.
11Is parking available?
Yes, the Wentworth Event Center has ample parking in our on-site parking lot, just steps from the building. If more parking is needed, we utilize sections of the lawn.
12Are there restrictions on noise or outdoor music?
Outdoor music must end by 10 PM.
13Can you recommend any local vendors?
Yes! We have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of service providers, and we are glad to offer suggestions for the right caterers, florists, photographers, videographers, wedding planners and other vendors for your specific event and budget.
14Where is the Wentworth Event Center located?
The Wentworth is conveniently located on Route 1 just five minutes outside of historic downtown Belfast in beautiful Midcoast Maine. We are two hours north of Portland and an hour and a half south of Acadia National Park.
15What are the local lodging options?
Our area offers a wide range of lodging options, from classic and affordable Maine roadside motels to beautiful historic B&Bs and inns to cottage rentals right on the water. There is even a beautiful oceanfront campground just up the road. Please contact us for our preferred vendor list.
